poco REC CENTRE

LOCATION: 2150 Wilson Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C.
CLIENT: Ventana Construction
ARCHITECT: Architecture 49
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: John Markulin, P.Eng., backed up by John Bryson, P.Eng.
PROJECT: A mixed-use recreational centre complex with three ice rinks, a swimming pool, library, and gymnasium. Total gross buildable area is estimated to be 200,000 sq.ft. Currently in the design phase.

 

Langley Events Centre

LOCATION: 7888 200 Street, Langley, B.C.
CLIENT: Ventana Construction
ARCHITECT: MQN Architects
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: John Bryson, P.Eng., backed up by John Markulin, P.Eng.
PROJECT: Double rink arena with seating for 5,000 people. Gymnasium, commercial space, exhibition and banquet area. Cast-in-place concrete, structural pre-cast concrete wall panels with structural steel roof framing system. Project completed on time and on budget. Construction completed in 2009 and opened April 1, 2009.

 

Millennium Sports Facility

LOCATION: 4588 Clancy Loranger Way, Vancouver, B.C
CLIENT: Millennium Sports Facility Society
ARCHITECT: Francl Architecture
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: John Bryson, P.Eng., backed up by John Markulin, P.Eng.
PROJECT: The project is a single storey gymnasium facility over an underground bowling facility. An entrance lobby, mezzanine space, and service and catering facilities are included.

 

Mosaic Place

LOCATION: 110 1st Avenue NW, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
CLIENT: Ventana Construction
ARCHITECT: MQN Architects
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: John Bryson, P.Eng., backed up by John Markulin, P.Eng.
PROJECT: The Moose Jaw Multi-Plex and Soccer Field House project is a 110,000 sq.ft. suspended floor multiplex facility containing an NHL sized hockey rink and an 8-sheet curling rink. Construction complete in 2011 and opened July 9, 2009.

 

 

Prospera Centre

LOCATION: 45323 Hidgins Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C.
CLIENT: Ventana Construction
ARCHITECT: MQN Architects
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: John Markulin, P.Eng., backed up by John Bryson, P.Eng.
PROJECT: Double rink arena and restaurant. Cast-in-place concrete, structural steel pre-cast concrete wall panels with structural steel roof framing system. With seating for almost 5,000 for sporting events, the building can accommodate over 6,000 people for concerts. Total buildable area is approximately 144,000 sq.ft. Project completed on time and on budget. Construction complete in 2004, and opened September 2004.
